"What Causes Cancer?"


Cancer is a malignant type of disease, so make sure you and the people closest to us from getting cancer. One way is by knowing the factors that cause cancer. According to some experts, the cancer is caused by various factors. And the main factors causing cancer are as follows:

1. Long-term inflammatory
The linkage between the development of cancer with inflammation has long been studied. Epidemiological evidence (visible) suggest a link between inflammation and long-term trend of the occurrence of cancer. Some of the factors that cause chronic inflammation as follows:

2. Virus
a. Human Papilloma Virus (HPV): A type of virus is suspected as the cause of cervical cancer
b. Hepatitis B and C: It is the type of virus that cause the occurrence of liver cancer
c. Epstein-Barr virus: In Africa is thought to cause lymphoma and throat
d. HIV virus (Human Immunodeficiency Virus): It is the cause of lymphoma and other blood cancers

3. Bacterium
a. Schistosoma parasites can cause cancer or bilharzia bladder
b. Clonorchis sinensis infection: Suspected causes of pancreatic cancer and biliary tract
c. Helicobacter pylori: is the cause of gastric cancer

4. Chemicals (carcinogens)
The materials included in such carcinogenic cigarette smoke, asbestos and alcohol. In addition, chemicals in processed foods to excess, such as foods fried in oil bath which is already in use, smoked, or burned. Can also be foods that contain dyes, flavorings, preservatives or food contaminated with harmful metals like mercury in seafood.
5. Exposure to Ultraviolet light (UV)
Exposure to ultraviolet radiation (UV) from excessive sun can cause sunburn. Permanent damage to the skin and eyes in a long period of time is the potential to cause skin cancer.

6. Tension or stress
Several studies have shown that chronic stress makes the immune system becomes weak person who can eventually become one of the causes of cancer, such as Kaposi's sarcoma and certain types of lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes). Stress can also negatively affect the endocrine hormone expenditure, the hormone that regulates DNA repair and regulate cell growth.

7. Genetic factors
Approximately 5-10% of cancer cases are inherited diseases. In certain families, the abnormal gene can be inherited. Type of cancer that is inherited in families, among others, such as breast cancer, ovarian cancer, prostate or colon cancer.
